Adrian Leigh (they/them) is a designer, poet, and cultural worker with roots grounded in New Jersey, now residing in Brooklyn, NY. Their inspiration derives from Black American aesthetics and the steadfast movement of queer bodies in this world. 

They received their BFA in Fabric Styling in May 2023 and AAS in Fashion Design in May 2021 from the Fashion Institute of Technology. They specialize in intimate apparel and accessories design, although when it comes to the design process, Adrian can do it all! They have over three years of design experience working with brands such as Victoria’s Secret & Co., Boll & Branch, Ita the Label and Ross Inc. to name a few.

Throughout their work in the design field, poetry is another form of expression they utilize on stages across New York. The topics they write about discuss personal identity, nature, and complex relationships. Adrian was a semi-finalist for the Brooklyn Poets Fellowship Summer 2025 and a participant in the Take World Writing Retreat hosted in Lisbon, Portugal in April 2026. Today, they co-organize Lez Write, a Black lesbian writing group based in New York.

Adrian is an ambitious, forthright person who believes creativity can’t be stifled to one medium. Their work in fashion and writing connects functional design to creative language — both necessary components to connect with one another.
